Ultimate Packing List: Caribbean Cruise

Updated: Jul 16, 2023

Everything you'll need for your Caribbean cruise

From things to ensure your little one comfortable and having fun, a few things that will make navigating your trip a whole lot more enjoyable, and a few items you may want to consider for working. I've also included a number of small things that experienced cruisers have come to rely on that you're sure to appreciate as well!

Depending on the time of year you're traveling, you will want to take the weather into consideration when packing clothing but in general temperatures range between the low 80's and the low 90's year-round. but some months can tend to have strong winds and be rainy so you'd likely want a rain jacket or light sweater for everyone.

Ultimate Packing List: Caribbean Cruise

Here's a packing list I hope you find helpful as well as some of my personal favorites for you to check out. ** Please note that as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.**

The Essentials

Be sure to keep these items in a carry-on bag if you plan to leave your luggage with the porters. It may take your luggage a while to be delivered to your room. (Here are a couple carry-on options to check out- https://amzn.to/43u65IE) & https://amzn.to/3rqkCYx)

  • Travel documents, a passport is preferable but in case instances a birth certificate and valid ID (for adults) is acceptable.

  • Cruise documents

  • Cash / Credit card

  • Medications (if applicable)

  • Cell phone & charger

  • Swimsuits

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses / Hat

  • A change of clothes and your toiletry bag if you plan to change before dinner (luggage may later that your dining time)

  • Wet bag (to put swimsuits in after the pool) Super cute option - https://amzn.to/3DhG3Os

  • A lightweight travel stroller. (If you have a small child, I strongly recommend! In my experience, especially when I'm traveling without my husband, an umbrella stroller simply doesn't cut it - I need storage space and it definitely comes in handy if you plan to get off at the ports. I brought my carrier and had planned to wear her as well but it was just too way too hot and I appreciate the full canopy shade from the stroller.) This is the one I have - https://amzn.to/44JnPkr

Diaper Bag / Child's Backpack

Obviously this list will vary somewhat based on your child's age and even preferences. I suggest keeping this bag with you rather than checking it with your luggage as well.

  • Wipes

  • Diaper cream

  • Medicine (always good to have Tylenol or Ibuprofen on hand)

  • Travel changing pad

  • Swimsuit & Sunhat

  • Swim Diapers

  • Bottles/Water Bottle/Sippy Cup

  • Snacks (there's pretty much always food available on the ship but having some on hand (and something you know they especially like) can definitely help keep little ones happy in a pinch)

  • A silicone placemat and bib I LOVE THESE! It was my best purchase before my last cruise. https://amzn.to/3rwBwVC & https://amzn.to/46T6AyO

QUICK TIP:

I find it easiest to pack all of our other items together into one large rolling bag that I drop off with the porters before parking. This way I can just park. put my daughter in the stroller with everything else stored underneath and boarding is a breeze.
